What Founders Village HOA Allows
Holiday Lighting
Seasonal holiday decorations — including Christmas lights — do not require prior approval from the Architectural Control Committee (ACC). You can install lights before the holiday and must remove them within 15 days after the holiday ends. This is one of the tighter removal windows in Castle Rock, so plan your takedown accordingly. We handle full removal and storage as part of every installation package — so you never have to worry about the deadline.
Permanent Lighting
Permanent exterior lighting is treated as an "Improvement to Property" under Founders Village CC&Rs, which means it requires written approval from the Architectural Control Committee before installation. The good news: there is no ban on permanent lighting — it simply requires an application. We can help you prepare a complete ARC submission, including product specs and photos of the Watts Lights system, sample approval language, and information on how the system looks when inactive (virtually invisible against your fascia).
