Holiday & Permanent Lighting in The Village at Castle Pines
The Village at Castle Pines is one of Colorado's most prestigious gated communities — and a neighborhood where the details matter. Holiday and permanent lighting are both permitted here, but the community has specific rules worth knowing before you install anything.
What Castle Pines Village HOA Allows
Holiday Lighting
Holiday lighting is permitted in Castle Pines Village under the official CPHA Rules & Regulations (April 2024): displays must be tasteful and temporary and clearly associated with a recognized holiday; lighted decorations must be turned off between 11:00 p.m. and sunrise; decorations may be put up no more than 45 days before the holiday and must be removed within 21 days after; decorations may not emit noise; approved holiday decorations are exempt from Village setback requirements. Note: The Village has 19 sub-associations, each with their own additional rules on top of the CPHA master rules — check your specific sub-association documents for any additional requirements.
Permanent Lighting
Permanent exterior lighting requires approval from the Design Review Committee (DRC) — Castle Pines Village's architectural review body. This is a more formal process than some other Castle Rock communities, but homeowners have successfully received approval. For a strong application, we recommend submitting product photos and spec sheets for the Watts Lights system, noting that the hardware is low-profile and color-matched to your fascia, emphasizing that the system is virtually invisible during daylight, committing to keep colors neutral (warm white) for everyday use, and mentioning the system's precise scheduling controls. We're experienced working with HOA review processes and can provide all documentation needed for your DRC submission.

Why Castle Pines Homes Benefit from Permanent Lighting
Castle Pines is one of Colorado's premier upscale communities, with luxury homes, mature pine forest, and some of the strictest HOA aesthetic guidelines in the metro. That last point is exactly where permanent lighting wins: our low-profile aluminum track is color-matched to your fascia and is virtually invisible during the day — meeting HOA approval where bulky strings or seasonal hardware would not. We can also provide HOA approval documentation on request to streamline your committee submission.
Weather Considerations in Castle Pines
Castle Pines sits at ~6,800 ft — higher than Castle Rock proper — with stronger UV exposure, more snow load, and the wind exposure typical of the pine ridge. Our Watts system is engineered for exactly these conditions and carries a 5-year manufacturer warranty backed by a North American supply chain (the only manufacturer who can say that), so replacement parts are actually available years from now.
- Sealed waterproof connections
- UV-stable LED housings
- 5-year manufacturer warranty
- Wiring routed through soffits
